What were you doing 10 years ago? Ten years ago I was single and living in the valley with my cats and my koi. I did inside sales for a two person office (brokerage firm for computer hardware components) and I loved it. My boss did outside sales, so I was alone most of the time, but on the phone 95% of the time. My best friend was single then, too, and we spent a lot of time going places together, and just hanging out. My life was pretty much the same as it is now – family and friends – and my garden, and now I have T.

The bees are awful up here now. It’s hot and their food is getting scarce. They ate almost ALL my cherries from my new tree – and a whole lot of my raspberries. I didn’t even know they did that. And now they’ve started eating on me!
My hair was so fine I couldn’t rat it, but that didn’t stop me which meant that ratted part stood out. This was probably while I was wearing hot pants or a mini skirt. I was very deprived and never got go go boots. I remember my friend Sally had beautiful blue ones!
I love doing these memes Jackie — I will send you the permalink when I finish. Sorry about the bees getting after you!!
PIXIE STICKS!!!
Love the photos.
I know all the words to Teen Angel and Puff the Magic Dragon. My parents probably got tired of listening to Teen Angel. When I was about 8 or 9, I played the record over and over. It was so tragic!
I have learned to temper my desire to correct people’s english. I would be doing it all the time, I live in Oklahoma! We say things like we are “fixin” to do something and call a refrigerator an “ice box”. One of my favorites “I’ll tell you what…..”
Great pictures of the bees. Thanks for your comments, have a good weekend. PS do you have any pictures of you in all those things? Now that would be a good tag, post a picture of ourselves when we were 18 ish…………../
you take such beautiful pics. those are nice flowers. i don’t even mind the bee and i don’t like them much.
i also think your profile pic is so beautiful, you are so beautiful.
as i told your sis, i have been reading here and there. i have not been commenting, who knows why, guilt and blah, blah but i have not forgotten you.
your answer for the question of 10 yrs ago got me thinking how much life can change. i’m so glad that you are happy for it’s change. may you always be happy.
here is to many more 10 yrs of positiveness to come to us all. hugs to you and your daughters.
IEG – isn’t it a hoot, thinking about some of the things we wore!
Marcy – you’re a great sport! And I’m sure my bee stings are nothing compared to your poison ivy.
Mumsflowers – my grown kids still tease me about eating these all my life – and about hiding them from them, when the y were young!
Bombshell – most of the songs from that time were tragic. Someone was always dieing! Your Oklahoma comment made me chuckle.
Dave – that’s a great idea. I think you should start it over there at your blog!
Chana – thanks, sweetie, and all the best to you and your family.
They still make Pixie Sticks? They were my favorite!
Damn bees, I hate them. Why won’t they leave me alone? That goes for all bugs. I don’t know why, with all the great outdoors available, they want to land on ME. I’m not talking about the blood suckers-I mean the general bugs that are just annoying. Maybe I look like a big bug sofa.
I don’t know the words to Big Brother, but I can sing all the others!
Did you get the email about the fact that our bees were not fertilising plants anymore because the mobile phones were throwing them off course and so there were not enough harvests?
No?
Well, bees are good…good…good. Just be sure to wear your gloves and bee hat…
Great pics, mama. And I tell ya, I’ll start to worry the day you stop correcting my grammar. You’ve been doing it so long now… I love you.
Janet – oh yeah, they make them. But you have to buy them in this small bag – and they stick alot of blue ones in it. I use to just buy the box they came in – the one they’d cut the top off to use for a display holder!
I’m with you on the bugs – especially the bees. I’m such a baby, and they HURT!
Quilly-Sister – I’ll teach you ‘Big Brother’ – even sing it for you if you like. 🙂
Jenn – really? Well I wish someone would send them all off course from here! Let them be ‘good’ somewhere else.
Brookie – well, I can’t stop with you – it’s my job. xoxoxox
Hehe. i’m giggling. Thank you for entertaining me. 🙂
Sorry the bees are being awful – but they’re making for some good photos. *thumbs up*
Lovely photos! Sorry you got stung; those can be so painful!
We have hardly any bees this year. I guess whatever is killing them all over the country has hit our area pretty hard. I knew they’d eat sweet things. We have a hard time with our apples. The bees and wasps just eat them up.
Nezza, glad to be of service!
Holly, I’m always amazed at how a little tiny thing like that can hurt so much.
Stacy, those bees didn’t die – they just all moved to my yard!
